NEW-HC-010 — Personal data of users in the European Economic Area is transferred under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework (DPF) and Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs); the prior reference to the U.S.–EU Safe Harbor framework was removed because Safe Harbor was invalidated by Schrems I (2015) and is no longer a valid GDPR Art. 46 transfer mechanism.
K–12 Children’s Privacy (COPPA)
NEW-HC-011 — TechnoHub is operated as an educational service for K–12 students, including students under 13. Pursuant to the U.S. Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA, 16 C.F.R. Part 312) we collect from students only the personal information necessary to deliver classroom lessons assigned by their school or teacher. The school acts as the parent’s authorized agent for the limited purpose of providing the educational service. Schools may review, request deletion of, or refuse further collection of a child’s personal information by contacting their school administrator or by emailing privacy@technokids.com. We do not condition a child’s participation on disclosing more information than is reasonably necessary, do not enable third-party advertising directed at children, and do not sell or rent personal information collected from children.
Student Education Records (FERPA)
NEW-HC-012 — When TechnoHub is used by a US-based educational agency or institution receiving funds from the U.S. Department of Education, TechnoKids Inc. acts as a “school official” with a legitimate educational interest under the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA, 20 U.S.C. § 1232g; 34 C.F.R. Part 99). Student education records are processed only to provide the contracted educational service, are not used for non-educational purposes, and are not redisclosed to third parties without prior written consent or as expressly permitted by FERPA. Schools may request inspection, correction, or deletion of a student’s education records by contacting their school administrator.
Control of Personal Information
TechnoKids Inc. will not share your personal information with third parties without your permission, other than for the limited exceptions already listed. It will only be used for the purposes stated above.
